When Lovers Meet

A Love Poem

Jenny Jones
when lovers meet sparks fly

like lightening in the sky

parting the clouds open wide

leaving no place to hide

the energy exposes raw substance

substance of emotions felt from a distance.

When lovers meet angels sing behind the ear

eyes moisten with hot tear

the body trembles pregnant with feelings

that blend chemistry for emotional healing.

When lovers meet calm tradewinds whisper

cool breezes of lovers codes only they can deciper

like sailors understand the language of the sea

knowing when to set sail and when to remain in the quay

When lovers meet nightingales sing praises to the gods

and releases the granges of the flower buds.
