We are told unemployment is down. 7 million are supposed to have found jobs. Where do those numbers come from? I personally know people that their unemployment checks ran out but they are still out of work.
We have over 4,000 miles of open borders in this country. What is being done in these places to protect Americans? What is our government doing or even looking at to help with the Schools? Are they even looking at this or not?
We have politicians going to spend $ 1Billion running for president. Why does this cost so much? Why does our government spend more time on free trade then on domestic trade?
Keeping in mind all of this, why does the news media think that the Big story of the day or the front page should be a ball game gone bad or Miss USA is out having what most of the people I have heard talking about, It was called a good time when we were that age.
So why does this rate front page on every newspaper in the country? Why does a fight at a ball game rate 10 minutes on every news show? I just watched a news conference with the President. These news people ask some good questions and some didn't make any sense. I guess the news media has lost contact with what people want to know, What, where and why. For some reason the news media is under the impression the only thing that we want is dirty laundry and trash on Who. It has reached the point that I don't even pay attention half the time. I spent 2 hours watching news today, in this time, 45 minutes of world news in most of these most of these items, estimated 5 % indirectly effect American Citizens, 15 minutes on the Presidents news conference, 30 minutes on how and where different types and places of shopping interest for the holiday season, 10 minutes on why Super Models are so unhealthy being pencil thin, 20 minutes of commercials. This time should be more but I used the remote to stop the commercials.
Where were the stories in these 2 hours that directly effected the American people other than the Presidents news conference. Getting down to the programs, if you watch, these people are wanting you to think that they are all the best of friends and that they are all perfect. It is like they have all got to be Mr. and Mrs. and Ms. Personality. If you listen to them talk, they spend very little time, if any, socializing, but I always hear them ask what they did the night before. Even these bully pulpit types that ask the tough questions, are spending more time talking about gossip than asking tough questions. Asking "What if" rather than " What did" or "Why should we do this". In the last week or so, these news people are starting to attack each other. I understand questioning what the other is talking about instead of just plain saying the other is wrong.
So if anyone sees Walter Cronkite, Huntley and Brinkley, or Harry Reasoner, please tell them we need HELP.
