When One Sparrow

While Our Love Awaits

Dan Reveal
You should always pay attention to your popsicle walls,
for they are melting and in dire need.
You can still lay claim to the title of shrinking violet,
when the dance floor option has planted in you its teenage seed.

Let these flowers mark the place in your diary book,
when Sundays will never be quite the same.
If you refuse to have a starring role in my life,
I will at least be happy that you came.

And when one sparrow is near death,
why does the other one still bring it food?
I'm so willing to share with you my piano chair,
while our love awaits to be renewed.

"Goodnight," she said, amidst the cowardly lion traveling show.
The sound of canons is but a walk in the woods.
If you've changed your mind and decide you no longer love me,
I will still believe that you are good.

I will still believe that you are good.

And when one sparrow is near death,
why does the other one still bring it food?
I'm so willing to share with you my piano chair,
while our love awaits to be renewed.

"If you refuse to have a starring role in my life, I will at least be happy that you came." This is masterful work, my friend, expressly when followed by the "I still believe you are good." line. Thanks again, for such thought provoking imagery.
