When Others Said No

Sherri Thornhill
When others said no
You said yes
When they walked out
You walked into the mess
When I felt alone
You stood by my side
When I needed a hug
Your arms opened wide
When I needed a laugh
You told the joke
When I told you my secrets
You held them close
When people judged me
You listened instead
When I cried out in frustration
You never fled
You were always yourself
Baring your soul
You were always the friend
I'll never let go
