When Politics Become Dangerous

In this day and age of so much news broadcasting across the Globe, it only takes seconds to get the latest scoop on anything. In Washington, that scoop is potential danger. Danger for the representatives we voted into office. Danger for their families. Why are they in danger? Politics. Politics have taken these cocky, strong representatives from confident officials to scared, average people, wondering what is going on. Having to take extra precautions for safety, that weren't there until recently.

The Congress people who voted for the health care bill have received open threats against themselves and their families.

Why is this happening? Because we have so many opinions streaming in live all the time. Because we have politicians that are more concerned for winning, than the American people. And it is blasted on the TV 24/7. With esteemed news anchors like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, making the Obama administration out to be the enemy. Not a difference of opinion, but an outright war to win the next election, so they can say they were right.

What is America becoming? Is America becoming a constant election? Is everyday meant to be spent deciphering who is lying and who isn't? When did doing the right thing for America become a war in Washington? Do any of them really care about America?

Republican, Democrat, it doesn't matter. It is all about the show and who gets elected next. This health care bill was necessary. It may not be perfect. It may not be what everybody wanted exactly. It was necessary. Our country has lost control of its senses. Insurance companies, banks, Wall Street and others have taken over our lives. They have the control. They are managing America and not well at all. The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer and the middle class are stuck not able to go anywhere but down to the poorer side of town. Yet, there is never a clear answer of how to get it fixed.

The Republicans had the White House for 8 years. Bush started 2 wars.The Democrats 8 before that. Bill Clinton sent the manufacturing out the door. Nobody has done anything to put America back on a stable footing. They keep spending and getting elected though. Now, the Republicans know EXACTLY how to fix the health care problems. They know EXACTLY how to fix the economy. So if they know all this, why didn't they do it already. When Georgie was in office would have been the opportune time. Because they really DIDN'T know what to do, they now feel that if they just talk enough trash about the Democrats, they will get the chance again.

The problem is, they may get someone killed in the process. Threats of violence against Democrats who voted for the bill are already tearing Washington apart. Congress Reps families have been threatened. They themselves have been threatened. They are adding more security, which costs us more money.

Between politicians and the news media, Washington is running amok. They are spending valuable time and dollars, fighting and not getting the job done. America is tired of this bullshit. It is sitting at home and being fed the likes of Glen Beck and all of his drama and America has reacted. They are going out and trying to kill these Democrats because they voted FOR health care. Between the radicals and the reporters giving their highly respected opinions for the purpose of reelection, Washington has divided America. They have put neighbor against neighbor. Not over doing the right thing, but over wanting their opinion heard. Not for the GOOD of America, but so they will win in November or in 2012 or whenever the next clown show election is.

The famous saying "United We Stand--Divided We Fall" couldn't be more true than it is right now in America. We are slowing tearing America apart. We aren't solving any problems. We aren't taking care of any business for America. We are just fighting. Washington is just fighting. The Black President thing, the health care thing, the economy left by Georgie thing and other forces that keep everything in turmoil is killing this country.

If they were any kind of decent at all, the Republicans would stop tearing down the Administration and the Democratic party. What happens if someone gets hurt or killed? Will they realize what they are doing? Will the idiots on TV realize their responsibility in this deal? Doubtful. No one wants to REALLY be responsible. They just want to be on the ride. I pray these crazy people in charge will see that what America needs is not a fight all the time. What we need is cooperation to get the job done for America. Not for the glory of getting it done.

Will they do that? I doubt it. I don't think they really care. I think it is all about them. Just like the news. They just want you to listen to them. They will say ANYTHING to keep you watching them, so they get famous or get paid or what the f---- ever.

I agree that America should be angry. I agree we have serious issues. However, killing or hurting the crazies in Washington won't fix it. It will just open the door for a different one to come in. America needs to blow up the phones in Washington by calling again and again. Calling the scoundrels and not threatening harm but threatening to keep voting them out until somebody wakes up. Voting and campaigning. Not getting stupid and hurting someone.

Are we so ignorant in America, that we can't do things intelligently vs. getting ridiculous and hurting someone? I wonder where we truly are here. The more modern technology appears here, the more ignorant we seemingly become.

I wonder if it was like this in Rome, right before the fall?
