Christmas decorating can start the day after Thanksgiving to the day before Christmas. Some will start early to enjoy the spirit of the season, while others will wait till Christmas gets closer.
Some have decorating a tradition in the family to join together and do the decorating with the joy of Christmas music, treats, and drinks. Some have tradition of getting out the decorations for the outside early to beat the cold weather while other will wait till later in the month to place decorations outside.
Decorating for Christmas can be a simple wreath with a tree to full out decoration every room and the whole outside. In earlier centuries the starting of Christmas decoration only consists of a simple small fir tree with small paper ornaments. As today depending where a person lives Christmas decorating has become a hobby for them. They will shop all year for items to place for decorating.
Traditions around the world to place Christmas decorations and Christmas trees will be start as early as September. Some people will wait till the day before Christmas and take them down the day after. While others nationalities have traditions to wait till January to take down the tree and decorations down.
When planning on when to start decoration you will want to get out all the decorations and find out what you have to work with. Do any decorations need to be replaced? Check the tree lights and other lighting is a great way to fix any bulbs that need to be replaced. Once you have all the decorations in order then it is time to start decorating.
Each year is a good way to start replacing worn and maybe some out dated decorations. As though the years, Christmas has become a commercial holiday with picking themes for the home decorating and the Christmas tree.
Sometimes I believe the old fashion Christmas decorating is the best by putting a set of lights on the tree, make paper decorations with a nice tree skirt of course the old white sheet and say "Merry Christmas."
