When a Tryst Leads to Death

We were all shocked that in our favorite hang out-the BREDCO Pier in Bacolod City, Philippines-two people were found dead.

No, they were not murdered. But they fell off in their car right into the deep waters in the middle of the night. Here is the story.

BREDCO Pier is literally a pier. It is where local and international ships dock in our city. But it is also a place where many people go, park their cars and enjoy the sea breeze. Some come in families, some come as couples. Some bring food, some bring drinks. But it seemed like a wholesome place to hang out...not until last Sunday night.

A Mitsubishi Pajero fell off the dock with its passengers-a couple who were partly naked in the backseat. Later it was identified in the news that the guy is a businessman while the girl is a student. From where the guy lives, we could say that he is quite affluent. But I will not name those involved here.

Anyway, rumors say that the girl sells her body for some bucks. We even saw her Frienster profile where her shout out says "I am waiting for you guys." We don't really know what this means, I mean, it could be waiting for her friends or something. But she was wearing a skimpy outfit and having a sexy pose. So maybe, just maybe, she was really for hire.

Sometimes, we can say that cheap thrills like this could end up in death. How many people have died just by trying something and it turns out the last night of their lives? My sympathy goes to the wife of the businessman, who has had to endure the pain and humiliation when she claimed the body of her deceased husband. Also to the family of the girl. They live in a small town and God knows what the gossipmongerers are doing by this time. She is already dead, but her family will have to contend with the talks that go around.

Sad to say, there may be times that we make bad choices. I am not judging them, as I myself am not perfect. It is just sad when you are caught like that. One night of passion leads to the death of two lovers.
