When We Feel Shame

Alisande
"And he [Adam] said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
And He said, Who told thee that thou wast naked?
Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done?
And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat." (Genesis 3:10-13)

When we feel shame
we hide from the Lord,
we run from the Lord
and tremble....
When we do wrong,
we cover our shame,
we try to place blame
and mumble:

Saying, "I listened to her."
She says, "I listened to him."
Blaming one or another
covering our sin.

But God knows all things:
He knows that we fail,
He knows our travail,
yet He loves us.
And even though we sin
His Love is too strong,
His Love took our wrong
through Jesus:

Saying, "I love you, child."
Saying, "I died for you."
Saying, "I am your way...
I love you!"

Feeling ashamed is our conscious alarming us that we are not living in the will of God. Your work is very thought provoking. Keep on writing.
