A pinch of this, a squeeze of fat
Oh, no I cooked my favorite bat
Some cultured pearls, a paper clip
A lemon drop and salsa dip
Now let me see, I think I need
Something flying at full speed
Perhaps a bird or shiny plane
Or was it a commuter train?
Good grief, I can't remember if
I take big whiffs or just one sniff
The eye of something goes in next
And then a scary cell phone text
Do I recall a fat-free potion?
Made with spell-filled witch hand lotion
I wish my mind worked better still
For this they need to cast a pill
Now here I am confused again
To the pot goes hen or men?
Should I add some boys and girls?
It could instead be smoky swirls
Of course, I must add faery wings
Or is it songs the faery sings?
A red-winged toad goes in the brew
And next a drop of crazy glue
The cauldron bubbles higher, higher
Spewing Hell and brimstone fire
The aging witch now so desired
That she'd gracefully…retired

I've read about many instances of "senior moments," but none regarding an aging witch! Very imaginative and fun to read. rcj
