Where to Advertise Your Home Childcare Business for Free at Beale AFB, California

Sophie S
Family Child Care (FCC) providers and affiliated providers are always in high demand as busy parents search for reliable, safe childcare for their children. If you are a qualified home childcare provider living in base housing or an affiliate living off base, how can you advertise your business at Beale AFB in California?

Beale Classifieds

Beale Classifieds offers the option of free base wide exposure by submitting an online advertisement. Start off by registering your details and then navigate to the most appropriate category such as "Help Wanted" or over to the "Services" notices where you can advertise your business to the Beale AFB community looking for childcare for their children. Make your advertisement stand out by including any special childcare skills that you possess, ages you are willing to take on, whether you accept special needs children and information regarding the training you have received. At the bottom of the advertisement, make sure you provide your up to date contact information where interested parents can contact you to learn more about the childcare services that you offer. Advertisements will typically last for a week. You will need to renew advertisements after they expire, as they will not automatically roll over to the following week. Airman's Attic

Licensed home childcare providers and affiliates are permitted to advertise their home childcare business through the Airman's Attic on base. Call the Airman's Attic at (530) 634-5640 or stop by the Airman's Attic, located at 2459 Robert Nicoletti Way (behind the Omni) to speak to Carolyn, April or one of the other Airman's Attic volunteers who can provide you with more details about how to advertise your home childcare business at Beale. Click here to visit the Airman's Attic homepage.

Networking

Do not underestimate the power of networking! Use every opportunity you have to let it be known you are a home childcare provider or affiliate looking for work. Carry business cards with you as you stop by the hairdresser's, BX, library, or the commissary. Ask friends or acquaintances if they know of any families who are looking for childcare providers. Also, make use of services provided by the Beale Family Child Care Office and call for any further advice you need to get the word out that you are looking for work. The FCC Office will maintain your name on their list, which will be useful for you if parents call the office directly looking for a provider.

Waiting by the phone as the job offers come flooding in from the Beale AFB community is an unrealistic expectation. Instead, place an advertisement in the Beale Classifieds. Next, contact the Airman's Attic for free advertising. Finally, do not underestimate the effectiveness of networking to find employment.
