My psychiatrist is the same way. I try to tell her how I'm feeling and she acts like I don't know what I'm talking about. I have been trying to get on the right medication for almost three years now and I keep telling her the medication she puts me on doesn't work and she just won't listen to me. I have tried changing doctors but no one else will take me for some reason. I didn't think they were allowed to refuse you but I have been refused many times. I have never done anything wrong for this to happen to me and I don't understand it. It just seems like all the good doctors are gone and we are stuck with the really bad ones that seem like they are only in it for the money and not to help their patients like they should.
I also see a therapist and all she wants to do is talk about herself. I thought it was supposed to be my hour to talk about my problems and I find myself having to try to interrupt her just to get a word in edgewise. I don't think it is fair just because of the insurance I'm on that I have to be stuck with the bad doctors that only care about themselves.
I'm just wondering where all the good doctors went? Why is it that most of us get stuck with these self-righteous doctors that think they know everything and they really don't know anything. They aren't in it to help us they are only in it for themselves.
I have also been trying to find another family doctor but after talking to my friends and family it seems like they are going through the same things with their doctors. So it seems to me that I am stuck with these doctors and will never find a really good one that will be there for me.
