Where Have All the Liberals Gone?

I'm searching for some liberals. You know, the ones who were constantly in the news media, yelling that former President George W. Bush was a war-monger. The same liberals who blamed Bush for every single ill that fell upon the United States. Where has the liberal voice gone since the election or President Obama?

Its the same double standard that liberals use. Since Obama is a liberal himself, he automatically gets a pass. President Obama is actually Bush-lite, having kept pretty much the same policies that the Bush administration enacted. Yet, you do not hear a peep out of the ultra liberals.

One of the reasons is most likely due to the liberal media being used to promote Obama's policies. The "news" today is like watching a political ad, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Its like watching a "Obamathon", except it runs everyday, not just on the weekend.

Let us imagine if President Bush tried to implement the "Fairness Doctrine" as the liberals want. Imagine the news media actually having to report the news. America use to have this and sadly, today, we do not. We have corporations like NBC and MSNBC being used to push policies instead of factual news.

When President Bush had us in a deficit, liberals were all over him. They called him a "big-spending conservative." This was a correct label but Bush was never a conservative. Just imagine the liberal outrage if it was President Bush who tripled the national debt in less than 100 day in office.

There would be liberal politicians and liberal actors all over the national news. However, since it is their liberal pal, President Obama, he gets a pass. The double standard continues. Liberals will not come out against other liberals.

The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are still happening. Where are all the liberal actors and marchers we got so familiar with on television during the Bush years? All the "anti-war" rallies that were promoted by the liberal media. What happened to the "In memoriam" ads that the liberal media outlets ran at the end of their broadcasts?

Guess the war ended when Obama was elected and no solders have died since January 20, 2009. The liberals no longer claim that the war in Iraq is a "unjust war." Nope. The most liberal senator is now the most liberal President we have ever had in our country's history. So he obtains another pass.

Imagine if President Bush had taken over General Motors..umm...Government Motors. You would see liberals up in arms over such an action. You would hear how he (Bush) has no experience running anything in the auto industry. Imagine if President Bush pumped billions of more dollars into a corporation that was destined to file bankruptcy.

Obama did this and nothing from the liberals. Picture Bush using his presidential powers and basically firing someone in the private sector, as Obama did with GM CEO Rick Wagoner. You know the outcry you would hear? Yet, nothing again from the liberals. Where is ultra-liberal Michael Moore when we really need him to make a documentary?

Imagine if President Bush signed a bill that killed school vouchers that directly affected minority children. Liberals like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Senator Barak Obama himself would have came out whining its due to race and screaming like Kanye West about how "Bush don't like black people." But it wasn't Bush who did this, it was President Obama. Liberal pass.

Imagine if President Bush went overseas to visit several Muslim countries. While there, he apologizes for America's arrogance in the past and basically bad mouths our country. Liberals would have been all over these statements. But, again, it was Liberal Obama and all is good in the liberal world.

Now we have President Obama appointing Judge Sonia Sotomayor to be the next Associate Supreme Court Justice. Liberals are gushing about her "life-story" and what a great legal mind she has. The only catch is her racially superior statements she has made. Imagine a conservative making such statements.

Remember, Judge Sotomayor is a liberal. So no matter what she has said in the past, nothing will be held against her by the liberals in Congress. Its a liberal double standard and they need to be called out on it. There are so many other "imagines" that could be listed but I think you get the point.

The thing I have never understood about liberals is how they feel the government is the solution for all the ills in society. You hear Americans complaining about how badly the government handles their business and yet liberals want these same individuals to take control of education, health care, social security, the auto industry, the banking industry and a host of other programs. Are you serious?

In my next series of articles, I will discuss the what a conservative and liberal truly believe in. How they are different and alike. All in all, you can make your own decision and hold your own beliefs. I believe in that right.
