Where Do All the Little Children Go?

Jean Davis
Have you ever noticed how you can see innocence in the eyes of a child?

They come into this world totally trusting and depending on someone else to care for them for a while.

Hear them at play as they laugh, giggle and run.

Not a worry. Not a care. They're just children having fun.

Sometimes we, as parents wish it could always be this way,

that time would stop or maybe just slow down.

Other times we wish they were all grown up and then maybe we could just slow down.

Only yesterday you watched them take their first steps.

The years really take wings and fly, it seems.

When these young adults stand before you,

your heart will swell with pride beyond your greatest dreams.

But where did the little child go?

You think you only have memories to recall.

Well, listen closely and look into those eyes.

You'll realize the little child's not gone after all.

Matthew18:1-At the same time came the Disciples unto Jesus saying "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

2- And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them.

3- And said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4- Whosoever shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5- And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6- But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Matthew 19:

13-Then were there brought to him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not,to come unto me,for
of such is the kingdom of heaven.(KJV)
