Where Have All Our Followers Gone?

How to Find Them!

Diane Zoller-Ciatto
Since all the changes have occurred, my page views have been about half as many as they were before. This has truly taken me out of the holiday spirit. After finally reaching Clout 10, I now feel undeserving of the title because the bonus money should be a true bonus and not a pittance due to low page views.

So being a bit OCD, I always kept a spreadsheet for fans versus followers. This way I know who is following me because I always follow back anyone nice enough to follow me. So where did they go? Apparently during the last mess I lost 117 followers.

You can find out who you lost by going to your home page on AC Yahoo! On the top thick purple menu bar, click on CONNECTIONS and then below that click on FOLLOWERS. I suggest that you print this list. It shows your Active current followers. Then go to your DASHBOARD and check your FANS. As you compare one to the other, you will see who is really still a follower and who is not.

Now I don't know if you should contact each of them personally, but it hurts me to see that some of my absolute favorites are no longer receiving my alerts. Surely we all get busy and don't have time to reply to every alert we receive, but I truly make an effort to at least open the article so my friends get the page views they deserve.

So I truly hope this helps us get our ducks in a row and get back what we have lost. Unfortunately, so many of you may not be getting this, so I will put it on Facebook and Tweet it. Please feel free to pass it along so we get what we work so hard for. I love you all, my fellow writers!!!

Actually, I'm one of your "fans" who is not a "follower". I am a fan of many, and a "follower" of almost no one. I check in on all my favorites on a regular basis (I can still easily access the list from my account page) but I just can't deal with my email when my inbox fills up with emails from AC every day. It's just too easy to lose track of emails I need to do something about immediately. Sorry, "following" doesn't work for me.

Yep, this has become a mess. The worse part is trying to sign on so you can post. Often I'll get signed on, but it still doesn't recognize me so I can post.

Hopefully it will be better soon!

Wow - 117 followers lost! I also have noticed lost followers. I am here, Jersey and hopefully you will find new followers and regain the ones lost!

I've lost many also, but this has happened several times to me before the conversion. I hope you find everyone!

Good points, and now you have to click on community and then search to find your favorite contributors:)

Glitches still abound in the system-I thoroughly believe many are kicked off subscribr's lists indavertently!

Sorry my favorite writer! I could not sign in for weeks now. I wish they would get the glitches fixed. Congrats on making clout 10! I have lost many of my followers as well. Hugs to you and Merry Christmas.

Things are a mess. The good thing about a mess is that it can be corrected. So we all hang in here. Hope you get your followers back.
