Party City: Party City is a party store with locations nationwide. While they only appear to have one type of card for online purchase, the store nearest me had about a dozen or so selections in packs of 20 for between $4.99 and $12.99. They also range from the formal (a black tie themed invitation) to kids invitations (Sesame Street theme). You can also purchase the rest of your party supplies there as well.
Walmart: The local Walmart is probably not the first place you think to get your New Years Eve party invitations, but it did have two sets of 50 boxed invitations. One was shaped like a champagne glass and the other was a more normal square card with noise makers on it. Each was $9.95 and included the envelopes for mailing.
Party America: Party America is a national chain specializing in party's for various occasions, including New Years Eve. This was the most expensive store with 8 packs running $3.95 each. Variety was good and the most varied - it seemed as if they had an invitation that would be able to go with any of their party kits.
Zazzle.com: This is an online retailers that allows you to custom make your own cards. A couple of templates are here and here. Some are able to be ordered one at a time and others are ordered in bulk packages. A search for "New Years Eve Invitations" turns up one 200 entries for card design templates. Finally, all orders over $45 dollars qualify for one dollar shipping.
AstonishingCards.com: This site is unique in that each one of its five New Years Eve card designs allows you to customize it with an image file of your choosing. While most people will chose some kind of photo to go on the card, you can also get creative and use an photo imaging software to create a personalized message or other personal design of your choosing. Just save it as a supported image file type (jpg being the most common) and upload it. The cards range from seventy cents to about a dollar fifty each. Shipping will run your $6.54 for up to 49 invitations. The New Years Eve invitations are located at this link location.
