All firework sellers are not the same. This year prices are pretty similar and product is not flying of the the shelves but the firework seller ordered less product to stock this year so don't wait to late expecting to get blow out deals.
All the sellers have about the same hours expecting to be open from about 10am-10pm daily through the 4th and possibly early evening of the 5th.
TNT brand Fireworks are available at the intersection of Salem Fields Road. They guarantee "No Duds" accept all major credit cards and have a very wide selection with good prices and lots of buy one get one free offers. To sweeten the pot at the TNT stand (behind CVS) you can enter a drawing that will be held on Friday for an assortement pack of fireworks called "American Pride". They also have forms to enter another drawing at www.winachevytruck.com.
Phantom band fireworks are for sale at the Knights of Columbus fireworks tent near Costco in the Spotsylvania Mall parking lot. Every year they have a fireworks sale and donate all the profits to local charities. Phanton has some very cool and interesting fireworks this year including a "Fiery Frog" and "Brew Haha" fountain that is shaped like a beer mug. They are offering a manager's special called the New Yorker for $89.99 and you get a "Flaming Heart" as a bonus with purchase.
TriState Fireworks, which is based in Manassas, has a yellow container stand decorated with eagles in the parking lot of Burlington Coat Factory. Their focus is family fun and they have a great selection of colorful, shimering, glimerring explosions as well as sparklers and snappers. Everything is buy one get one and a the best bang for your buck may be their "mushroom".
Rember that you must be 18 years old to purchase fireworks, there is not smoking near firwork sales and Virginia requires that all sellers be certified and have permits from the county as well as clearance from the Fire Marshall.
Never play with fireworks, alway follow directions exactly as they appear on the manufacturers packaging and have a terrific, pyrotechnic time celebrating Independence Day in Fredericksburg!
