Where to Buy a Kate Gosselin Wig for Halloween

This year, Kate Gosselin's reverse mullet hairstyle is the hottest Halloween costume accessory. Whether you're a Kate fan or liken her to a howler monkey, you can show your support or disdain by sporting Kate Gosselin's now famous hairdo for Halloween.

BuyCostumes.com has come out with the Eight is Too Much Adult Wig, which closely resembles Kate Gosselin's infamous hairstyle. The wig's style, which TMZ.com not-so-affectionately calls a "Frosted, chunk-striped, bi-level, Flock of Seagulls-humped-a-porcupine, reverse mullet weave," is pretty darn close to the real thing. You can sport your own reverse mullet for this Halloween for only $14.99

If you were to buy the wig for Halloween, you might need to take scissors to the spiky part on the top of the back, because it is a little long. Regardless, the point comes across, and maybe the extra length is what makes it so funny. Also, the reverse mullet part that sweeps over in the front is a little short. Kate's actual hair on that one side falls down to the top of her jaw.

As a last resort, you can always buy a long blonde haired wig at any local Halloween costume store and hack away at the length yourself. Between a cheap blonde wig, a pair of dull scissors and some hair spray for the spiky part, you can be sporting your own Kate Gosselin look in no time.

Thanks to the train wreck that is Jon and Kate Gosselin's marriage, showing up to a Halloween party as Kate should be a hit, especially if you put some of her attitude behind the look.

Not everyone looking for a Kate Gosselin wig is interested in mocking her for Halloween. Hair salons across the US have been flooded with requests for the hairdo made famous by Diane's Hair Design in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. For those who don't live in the area, or for anyone afraid of letting some random hair stylist hack away at their hair in this unusual manner, a wig might be the way to go.

If you don't like the Kate wig at BuyCostumes.com, you can always go back to our old friend Google Images, find two close-up images (one of the front of her hair and one of the back) and take them to a hair stylist who specializes in making custom wigs. A custom Kate Gosselin wig might cost some big bucks, but the cut and color will be more authentic. Plus, you won't have to abuse your own hair. Can you imagine trying to grow out that style?
