So first of all I will start out with the high end makeup products, working my way down to the less expensive ones. Number 1 brand of cosmetics right now is of course, Mac. It is hard to find discounted Mac makeup but not impossible. One good site is www.buymebeauty.com. They carry these popular brands: Almay, Physician's Formula, Maybelline,Loreal,Revlon,Lancome,Clinique and others. Some of the discounted items available are:Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Foundation regularly sells for $29.00- sale price $17.50. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Cream Foundation regular price $9.49- sale price $7.59. Bobbi Brown Essentials Foundation Stick regular price $16.50- sale price $12.00.
Another good online store is www.makeupmania.com. This site is owned and run by professional makeup artists and carries of variety of quality makeup products. They will even custom blend your products for you. This is also a place where you can buy theatrical makeup if you happen to be in the performing arts. These are still reasonably priced with their lowest priced product being La Femme.Used by professional makeup artists, it is a low priced good quality product. They are offering La Femme pressed eyeshadow in a large variety of colors for $3.99 each. La Femme Cream concealer priced at $3.50. And La Femme sparkle dust for $4.25. Check them out for discounts on other makeup products.
Next we have Rimmel London, www.rimmellondon.com. The motto behind thisa company was "Beauty on a Budget". Rimmel cosmetics can be purchased online and also in most stores. Target, Walmart, Walgreens and CVS carry these products, as well as Maybelline, Loreal, Wet N Wild, and Jane Cosmetics. Another good source is a website called e.l.f or in other words eyes lips and face. Their products range between $1-5 each a little more for kits.
As for some of those all in one makeup kits that you see in the drugstore, don't waste your money. Most of the time these products are cheaper quality, very dry lipsticks , and eyeshadows you have to use a lot of to even see it. If you want to buy someone a makeup kit for birthday or special occasion, be creative. Make your own customized basket with Either Rimmel, Or Jane Cosmetics for the foundation and eyeshadows, and Maybe Wet N Wild or another discounted product for blush, lipstick and eyeliner. The Wet N Wild products are good for the eye pencils, lipgloss, powder and nail polish. Do a little mix and match. So now anybody can afford to be gorgeous, even if you are on a budget. Happy Shopping!
