Christmas is a time for making memories. A visit to a Christmas tree farm, choosing your tree and taking it home creates the kind of memories that will last a lifetime. Real trees fill your home with the smell of Christmas. Whether you choose a Spruce, Fir or a Pine, nothing smells more like Christmas than the smell of a fresh cut tree.
A permit is required to cut your own Christmas tree in Arizona. Christmas tree applications are available September through October. The number of permits issued is limited and when they are gone, they are gone. The permits can be obtained at the following Phoenix Big 5 Sporting Goods:

With a tag you are allowed to cut one tree less than ten feet tall per family. The trees can only be cut between November 21 and December 24. When you receive your tag, you are given a packet that will direct you to the area in which you are to cut your tree. Do not loose your tag. It will not be replaced and with no tag, you can cut no tree.

Tonto
Prescott
Kaibab
Coconino
Apache-Sitgreaves
If cutting your own tree is not possible, you can find a number of live tree lots in and around Phoenix.
Mast-Roth Tree Lots have a number of locations in the area. One of which is located at 3112 East Greenway Road in Phoenix. This is at Greenway and 32nd.
Tolmachoff Farms is located 8 miles away in Glendale at 5726 N. 75th Ave. This is ΒΌ of a mile south of Bethany Home Rd.; to the west of 75th AV. Tolmachoff Farms is a four-generation family farm. After Christmas is over dispose of your live Christmas tree in a way that will benefit nature. Most counties now offer recycling programs and have designated drop off locations.
