Where to Buy Vintage Travel Trailers

Vintage...is it just a fad? No, it is for people who love nostalgia. Who love the feeling they get when they have a piece of the past. People will collect "vintage" items forever. As people age, collectable items change, but vintage travel trailers are something that will never go out of "style".

To be able to combine two great past-times, camping and doing it in a vintage trailer is great. When we pull into the campground in our vintage 60's travel trailer, people come by all the time and tell us how their parents used to have one like ours. We love it, and it is great fun, but we want a new, older one!

I have spent some time looking around for sites or publications that sell older trailers and this is what I have come up with:

This looks like a very good site if you are looking for 1950's and older trailers. They have quite a few to choose from. Like a 1949 Westcraft Shasta 26' for $8500.00. It is available for sale as is or for restoration. Very nice photos

Ebay Motors

Just type vintage travel trailer in the search box and get busy. When I put this together, there were 20 listings. That number of course can change at any time. But I do see a 1960 Shasta 13' that has 14 bids and is currently selling for $4,650. And I just found another I will not tell you about because I am about to place a bid on it. Id I win it, I will come back and tell you about it! Ebay is a great location for finding vintage travel trailers. As with any other purchase, never pay in cash and get as much information about the item as possible. Review the seller's feedback. I have been buying and selling on Ebay for years and it is a fairly safe community.

This is another great source. I found here a very nice 1961 Avion T-20' for sale for $4950. He supplies a great deal of detail and a lot of pictures on all of the Vintage Travel trailers he has for sale.
