Where to Buy Walt Disney World Souvenirs After You Get Home

We've all done it. You're on vacation and you spot that perfect little trinket, t-shirt, or mug. Ah, but your fast pass is about to expire, or your companions drag you off to another store. That's fine, you can always go back and get it later.

You get home and suddenly realize that you forgot to go back and get that cute Buzz Lightyear ray gun. Oh, misery. It's too late now. Or is it? The truth is, there are many companies that have sprung up just to fulfill that need. In fact, there are a lot of places that you can find that perfect souvenir.

Ebay:

This may seem like the obvious answer, but you need to be wary of rip off sellers. There's nothing wrong with a store adding a fee to each item- after all, they're performing a service. But check around, sometimes you can find a better deal elsewhere.

Also, when you're searching on Ebay, it helps to type in "Walt Disney World" or "WDW" into the search box. Many items are the same or similar from Disneyland and you'll have a long search ahead of you if you're just looking for "trading pins". If you're searching for something from the Haunted Mansion, you may want to add -movie or -Eddie Murphy or you'll end up with a list of DVDs for sale.

By the way, Ebay is a great place to buy home movies of the rides at Walt Disney World. Some are more professional than others though- so if a "sample" video is provided, check it out first.

Websites:

The popularity of the Disney parks has inspired many people to build websites devoted to the fandom. Some are for informational purposes, and some are actually selling things. One of my favorite websites to check for souvenirs is LaughingPlace.com where they provide information and a store. Mouseshoppe.com focuses on Disneyland, but since many souvenirs are the same from park to park, it may be a good place for you to look. There are others sites out there, and more springing up all the time. You could even do a search on Google for what you're looking for.

Walt Disney World:

If you know exactly what you're looking for, Disney provides a mail order service for their souvenirs. You can email them at wdw.mail.order @ Disneyworld.com, call them at 407-363-6200 or write to them at:
Downtown Disney Marketplace
Post Office Box 10150
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0150

If you're not sure exactly how to describe the item in question, it might be best to call. The call center does keep regular business hours however, so plan accordingly.

I've bought a few Disney things from Time Rover Treasures. They have lots of little, inexpensive souvenirs.
