One of our favorite places to eat is Moe's. There is something there for the whole family and we just really enjoy it. If you'd like to take a peek at the menu beforehand their website is www.moes.com. The one in Clemson is located on College Avenue, right near all the shops. On Wednesdays they offer a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult meal from 5-8pm. The kid's meals consist of tacos, burritos or quesadillas. The kids menu is for children 12 and under and the meals come with a drink and a cookie. They are a mexican type restaurant so adults can get the same things the children can get, with a larger variety. All meals come with free chips and salsa. We enjoy Moe's because the atmosphere is friendly, the kids enjoy the food and we love the free chips and salsa!
Another place we enjoy is a place called Firehouse Subs. Their website is www.firehousesubs.com if you'd like to look them up! Firehouse Subs is located on College Avenue in downtown Clemson. They offer free kid's meals with adult purchases on Wednesdays and Sundays. This is a neat place to eat. They have many things that the kids can get up and look at. It's based on a firehouse so there is a fireman's outfit and other things our kids enjoy. They also give away plastic hats to the kids and ours always get a kick out of that. Kids can choose from a peanut butter and jelly, grilled cheese, turkey or ham sandwich. Meals come with a drink and two Oreo cookies. They have all sorts of subs for adults to choose from as well.
Beef 'O' Brady's is another place that offers free kid's meals. They only do this on Sundays. You can view their website at www.beefobradys.com if you'd like. It's located on 93 heading toward Central on Canoy Lane. One of the nice things about Beef 'O' Brady's is that they have a game room for the children. So if you have children that get antsy waiting for their meal to come out I'd suggest giving this place a shot. On the kids meal you'll find mini corn dogs, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, hamburger, cheeseburger, mac and cheese and a few other items. Adults can enjoy wraps, sandwiches, wings, fish, salads and more. We enjoy this place because they have the large televisions that are almost always playing the latest game that is on tv at the time. We can be entertained as well as the kids while waiting on our meal to arrive!
The last place I'm going to mention is Sonic. Now kids can't eat here for free, but there are a few low cost options. You can see their website at www.sonic.com. Sonic is located on Tiger Blvd in Clemson. Here in Clemson they have a deal where you can purchase burgers for 50 cents on Tuesdays. If you are feeding a family of four you can get four burgers for only $2.00. I'm sure you'll add on a few items, but still you'll end up not paying as much as you normally might. Another reason we love Sonic is because they have half priced drinks daily from 2-4pm. Occasionally I'll drive through and get the kids a drink as a treat and they think that is pretty neat! Something else we like to do is drive up and get dessert. On the value menu they have these small candy sundaes for only a dollar! They are a good size for the kids and even adults too. You can choose from four kinds of candy to put on top of your ice cream. We can all four get dessert for less than five bucks. It's hard to do that these days! The kids sometimes enjoy sitting in the car enjoying dessert. So, if you are looking for a cheap dinner idea go to Sonic on a Tuesday evening. And if you are looking for a dessert idea try the value menu at Sonic! You can stay in the car and eat, drive thru or sit outside and enjoy the weather!
