There are a couple of places where you can get your CPR certification in Polk County, Georgia. I only know of two places that were actually in Polk County, but there is one that you can do online, so I will be talking about this one as well. I will let you know everything I can about the classes.

The main place around here where most people get their CPR certification is in high school. What I mean by this is that you can take Health Occupations and in the first year of that class you have to get CPR certified. These classes are taken while at school so you do not have to go somewhere after school and get your certificate. Also these classes are free because they are given to you in your class and the certification is free. Also, the certification will last you for two years and then you have to go somewhere else to get it renewed.

Another place I know of around here that offers CRP certification classes is Coosa Valley Technical College. The cost per class is $25, at least that is what I think, if I am wrong then someone please correct me. They offer everything you need to know to get CPR certified. They teach you the difference between giving an infant, a child, and an adult CPR. Most people do not think there is a difference, but there is a real big difference. The reason for this is because of the way a baby's bones are compared to an adult. The certification will last you for two years. They also teach you the proper way to give CPR and the mask you use and everything. Coosa Valley Technical College is located in Rockmart, Georgia.

The other way I found was online. I never knew you could get a CPR card online, I guess they put everything online these days. The cost of the class is $19.95. All you do is watch a video that gives you step by step instructions on how to administer CPR and then you take the test and if you pass the test then you will be CPR certified. I think this is the fastest way, but not the most effective. I mean in the video it tells you everything you need to know, but hands on experience is so much better than online experience. The certification will last you for two years though.

In my opinion you best bet for getting CPR certified is to get it in high school first and then when it runs out then you should go back and renew it anyway you want to. In my opinion going to a college that offers CPR classes to people other than students is the best way other than high school. I would not trust the online one unless I absolutely had to.
