Where to Download Holiday Photo Card Templates

Review of 5 Photo Card Websites

Esper_D
Looking to create a fun Holiday Photo card to send out to loved ones this Holiday season? This review of five online photo sites will give you details on prices, ease of navigation and selection of holiday themes.

Snapfish:

Photo cards at Snapfish cost 29 cents each and are a single piece of photo paper that does not fold. It has your customized photo on one end and a holiday decoration on the next with your special message. There is a border around the photo. They have many holidays and events to choose from, including Christmas, Winter Holidays and more.

If you'd like a more elaborate card that does fold, go for a personalized greeting card that costs $1.99 each. You can customize the front picture with your personal picture, as well as a holiday themed frame. In the inside, type your message on the background of a winter scene or Christmas gifts or any of the other holiday themes available.

The most memorable and personal photo gift available at Snapfish is the recordable card that will cost you $5.99 a piece. Upload your picture and when you receive the card, record a personal message up to 30 seconds.

This site is very user friendly and has a lot of really fun options available. Check them out at http://www.snapfish.com

Artscow:

Artscow.com has both 4x8 photo cards and 5x7 photo cards ranging from $0.29 a piece to $0.49, depending on the quantity you are purchasing. In order to use their Photo Card Designer, it requires a download of their program. They do have several themes to choose from, however, their programs tend to be a bit confusing and even slow. The reason why I recommend Artscow, though, is that they have really great freebies. If you sign up for their e-newsletter, you'll always get coupon codes to redeem for free items from their store. You start off with 400 free prints just for signing up. Their site can be a bit confusing to navigate, but the prices are worth it. Sign up at http://www.artscow.com

Walgreens Photo:

Walgreens has literally hundreds of Holiday themes available for their photo cards. The photo cards come in sets of 20 and include envelopes. Depending on what design you choose, the price is around $9.99/set. Photo cards are available in two sizes: 4x8 and 5x7. If you choose to use Walgreens, you can get choose free pickup and pick up your cards within 24 hours at the Walgreens of your choice. Their website is very easy to navigate and fun to visit. Visit http://www.walgreens.com and click on the Photo tab.

Wal-Mart Digital Photo:

Wal-Mart sells a folded photo card for $1.42 and individual greeting cards for $0.33. They even sell some really cute gift tags to place on gifts that contain a customized photo of your choice for $0.44 for a set of four. There is no need to download a program to create your photo cards, however they do have one available if you so choose to work offline. I happen to really love their photo program, which is also free. The selection of Winter themes is not as extensive as Walgreens, however it is as adequate as Snapfish and will provide you with enough choices to create a cool photo. Creating photo cards on their site is simple and easy to navigate. Free pickup of photos at Wal-Mart centers. Visit http://www.walmart.com and click on Photos.

Clark Color Labs:

What I've noticed about Clark is that they have basically all the same functions and prices as Snapfish. I'm not sure if they are working together or what, but you'll find exactly the same frames, photo themes and prices at both sites. However, if you've already used all of your free Snapfish photos for signing up, then sign up at Clark as well for an additional 30 free prints. With shipping at $1.99 for 30 prints, this ends up being a viable option. Here's a little trick. Use their photo themes to create a photo card. Right click and save. Upload as a regular photo on Clark and print that way. This way you are saving lots of money using your 30 free prints! Sign up at: http://www.clarkcolor.com/registration
