Where Eagles Soar

Here is to all the veterans
Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps
You never will be forgotten
You are there where eagles soar!

You protected us in peacetime
You fought for us in war
Some of you never made it home
You are truly where eagles soar!

Since the time of the Revolution
On through the Civil War
You wore your uniform proudly
As you fought on our familiar shore!

For the soldiers from the World Wars
Whose blood was shed once more
While leaders negotiated
It was you who fought the war!

When you fought over in Vietnam
America was in an uproar
You returned without any fanfare
What were you fighting for?

But each one of you are heroes
With gratitude for your selfless chore
Our debt can never be repaid
But our hearts are where eagles soar!
