Where to Eat for Father's Day in Fort Worth

Bob McCoog
Looking for a place to take dear old Dad for Father's Day this year in the Fort Worth area? Here's a list of a couple of different restaurants where you can take him to to celebrate the special day:

Texas de Brazil- 101 N Houston, Fort Worth, TX- Open Father's Day for Brunch from 11 am- 3 pm and Dinner from 4 pm- 9 pm. Texas de Brazil offers a wide variety of different foods to sample throughout your time there. Their salad bar includes a wide variety of fresh vegetables, cheese, and fish. Their main meal is a wide variety of up to 50 different types of meat, chicken, and pork that are delivered by their skilled servers on sword-like skewers taken directly off the grill. Each diner is given a small circle to flip over to let the servers know if you are ready for more food- green for go and red for stop. After you have gorged yourself with enough meat, save room for their wide range of desserts, from Bananas Foster to Brazilian Cheesecake.

The normal cost for dinner at Texas de Brazil is $42.99 per person, not including drinks, dessert, or gratuity (which is automatically added). There is a rewards club that you can sign up for online. They routinely send out coupons including buy one meal, get one for free, to help defray the cost of this magnificent meal.

Buca di Beppo- 2701 E State Highway 114, Southlake, TX- Open Father's Day from 11 am- 9 pm. Buca di Beppo offers home style Italian food. Ranging from half a pound meatballs with a bowl of spaghetti to two pounds of lasagna, all the food that you order at the restaurant is served family style. It can be ordered as Buca Small (which serves up to 3 people) or Buca Large (which serves up to 6). If you are fortunate enough to sit in the table in the kitchen, you get to see what every one else is ordering to help you decide what you should order for dinner, or to figure out what to order the next time you go to eat.

The normal cost for dinner at Buca di Beppo ranges, depending on the people in your party, from $35-$70. There is a rewards club that you can sign up for online so you can receive a Father's Day coupon for $10 off the cost of your bill.

Joe T. Garcia's- 2201 N. Commerce St. Fort Worth- Open on Father's Day from 11 am- 10 pm. If you want to treat Dad to some fine Mexican food dining, then Joe T. Garcia's is the way to go. Joe T's was opened up in 1935 as a family restaurant and slowly grew an extremely large fan base. Since then it has come a long way with a bakery, cafe, pool, patio and cabana added to the original structure, increasing its seating capacity dramatically. The guests who come to dine at Joe T's have a variety of options from beef and chicken fajitas, chile rellenos, tamales, chimichangas and appetizers. Joe T's has been an institution in the restaurant business in Fort Worth, and well worth a visit for some food.

The normal cost for dinner at Joe T. Garcia's per person ranges from $11-$30. There is no online rewards club at this time for discounts.
