Romantic Dinners in Las Vegas

Valerie Irion
When you hear Las Vegas, you think sin city, true, but do you know that Las Vegas is one of the most romantic cities around? It is the number one distention weeding spots for the west coast. It is also the place where you can make believe you are in romantic cities around the world. Join me as a take you one a guided tour of some of what I think is the most romantic restaurants to celebrate Valentine's Day this year.

Let's start our tour by stopping by the Venetian, where you can experience all the romance of Italy without leaving Las Vegas. One of my all time favorite restaurants for a romantic breakfast on Valentine's Day would have to be Bouchon yes I know what you are thinking that this is a French restaurants and you are right. But nothing can be more romantic then starting the day set aside for lover then sharing Salmon Baguette with a glass of mimosa. For dinner at the Venetian it is hard for me to pick between Valentino's and Canaletto's. If you are into spending a lot of money for something special then I would recommend Valentino's where Chef Pellegrini will fix you a wonderful braised stuffed veal shank with soft polenta. They also have more than 2,400 wines that you can choice from. If you are waiting to spend a moderate amount of money and still have a 4 star dinning experience then I would recommend Canaletto's. Chef Putzu has created unique flavors that will take you to Venice when you test them. My favorite is Scaloppini Val Gardena, thinly slice veal with shitake mushrooms, asparagus, and prosecco. What evening in Italy would be complete without a romantic ride down the Grand Canal in a gondola? What a perfect way to relax after a nice dinner!

Let's stop by and visit France by heading to the Eiffel Tower Restaurant where you dine 11 stories above the Las Vegas Strip. You are also treated to a spectacular view of the glorious Bellagio fountain show. While dinning here I would recommend you try Chef Joho's New York Steak, Bone Marrow, with a cabemet reduction. You will find a bottle of wine to fit your dinning choice for the evening.

Still feeling a touch of French then head to the Bellagio where you will find Picasso, where yes you will find Pablo Picasso's art work through-out. They have a very nice wine cellar and will be happy to recommend a bottle of wine to harmonize your dinning choices. Picasso's menu changes daily only the freshest products are served.

Now that we have visited places around the world lets got to the top of the world, if you travel north on Las Vegas Strip you will run into the Stratosphere where you will find a wonderful restaurant located 800 feet in the air called the Top of the world. Not only is the atmosphere elegant the restaurant revolves 360 degrees every 80 minutes. The culinary choice range from fresh sizzling steaks to dishes such as rack of lamb.
