Where to Eat in Victoria, British Columbia If You Are Vegetarian or Vegan
Neighborhood: Victoria
Are you planning on visiting or are brand new in Victoria, British Columbia? Need to know where there are vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurants? Look no further! I have taken the time to compose three favorite restaurants in Victoria that are either vegetarian/vegan friendly or fully vegetarian or vegan!

Lotus Pond Vegan Restaurant
This restaurant was without a doubt, a favorite of mine. I often miss it now that I no longer live in Victoria. It is one hundred percent vegan and perfect for any vegan or vegetarian Chinese food lover! Make sure to check out the radish cakes, spring rolls, wonton soup, and a great range of mock meat dishes. In addition, if you want to save some money, arrive after 2:30pm as the buffet is half price by then! Good service and friendly staff. Enjoy!

Green Cuisine Vegetarian Restaurant
This is definitely a close second. I would come to this restaurant at least weekly. Green Cuisine is one hundred percent vegan and everything is organic as well. There's always a wide array of soups, dishes, fresh bread, and even deserts! Also, they clearly label every item so you can easily find out what ingredients are in the fish. It's no surprise why people are known to come here every day. I used to be a big fan of their rice, pan-fried fries, and cornbread. This restaurant is found at Times Square where there many interesting stores to explore before or after eating at Green Cuisine.

Rebar
I have never been to this place, but have heard good things about it. It is vegetarian friendly and has a juice bar as well! My friends recommend trying out the almond burger, monk's curry, and the miso soup. They also recommend trying out the juice bar. It also is said that the staffs are extremely friendly and the feeling you get at this restaurant is a very positive one. Next time I visit Victoria, I will definitely check this place out and I think you should as well!

My husband and I (both seniors and vegans) visited Victoria in Sept 2009. We tried Rebar and found it to be wonderful. I had the monk's curry and my husband tried the yam quesadilla. Both were delicious! The service was great and we hope to visit again soon.
