I am an ex-football player and like most ex-football players I know, I like a good burger. My wife is a great cook and she makes a great burger with that said I have decided to see if I could find where some of the best burgers in America are made.

Conway's Red Top opened in the fifties and is still going strong. Conway's is known for its giant 8oz. burger the saying at Conway's is "One is a meal." Before I get to the burgers I would like to offer a little trivial related to Billy Goat Tavern. Cub's fan would surely know this. The "Curse of the Billy Goat," is also known as the cubs curse. There is also a legendary Saturday Night Live sketch where a short order cook yells out Cheezborger! Cheezborger! No fries, cheeps! No Pepsi, Coke!"?

Now to the burgers. Two thin patties straight off the grill with melted cheese load with onions and pickles and a bag of chips -no fries. If you want to eat like the locals, you would be remiss not to check out the goat.

If you are in New York and you have been out having a few drinks and you find yourself hunger at 3:00 am the Bistro is the place you want to go to. The burgers are served on a open face toasted bun with the usual fixings on the side. You will not get a better burger in the big apple.
