My family grew up on bagels. My mom, originally from the Bronx in New York, really knew her bagels. Sometimes, my parents had bagels shipped from the actual bagel shop where my mother grew up in New York, but now, bagels are very popular, and good bagels can be found almost anywhere. Medford Bagel Shop
This family business, located in the town of Medford, has been around for over 15 years. The bagels are made at the shop as well as cupcakes and muffins. They have a full breakfast menu with items like Pork Roll on a bagel or Belgium Waffles, as well as a lunch menu that boasts such dishes as Shrimp Salad or a Cucumber Wrap. Located in Westmont, which is very close to Philadelphia, this bagel shop is also a great deli and cafe. You can get a pastry tray (with muffins and danish etc...), a Reuben or a bagel with cream cheese.
