Shop Open Box
Many stores that carry electronics mark down their open box items by 25% or more. I buy most of my electronics open box because there is usually nothing wrong beyond a surface scratch or two and it saves me a lot of money. When you're looking for a TV this Christmas, ask where the open box items are located and see if you can find something to fit your needs.
Get Email Notifications
Getting a ton of advertisements in your inbox can be annoying, but if you can handle it for the next few weeks, subscribe for online ads from any place that carries electronics in your area. Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and other stores send out ads by e-mail each week and usually have good deals. These stores will also let you know about special online sales.
Internet Coupons
Retail Me Not has printable coupons and online coupon codes for a lot of different stores. Go to their website and type in the store you are considering buying from and they will give you the current discounts. You may be able to save money on top of the deal you've already found.
Geeks
The Geeks website has good deals on refurbished TVs. You may have to check often, though, to find the brand and size you're looking for, as there aren't usually a lot of TVs in stock and they go quickly.
Black Friday Shopping
Not many people enjoy shopping on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, but it is one of the best ways to find a great bargain on a TV. Look through the sale papers and see if a good deal is being offered on a TV you've got your eyes set on. If so, make plans to go shopping early so you can get your TV at a low price.
