While the Beatles music speaks for itself, a new generation has been introduced to the Beatles thanks in part to American Idol push to open the Lennon-McCartney songbook for it's Season 7 contestants. On March11th, 2007 the American Idol Top 12 performed songs written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, including Let it Be performed by a barefooted Brooke White.
The Beatles remain one of the few major music groups who have no yet released their catalogue to be sold through online music services such as iTunes.
