Manchester is small in size but big in fun and that includes great places to grab a burger. Plenty of fast food joints make Manchester their home but this little town doesn't skimp on the meat when the locals make the burger. There are several unique and fun locally owned burger joints that will serve up the tastiest burger this side of the Mason Dixon line.
Jiffy Burger has been around for more than 30 years serving up a variety of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nothing beats their burgers though. They are an old fashioned car hop restaurant but you can eat inside as well. Their burgers are famous locally for being handmade, thick and delicious. These quarter pound burgers can be topped with traditional fixings like lettuce, tomato and onion but also include chili, bacon and a fat, crispy onion ring. Hamburger plates are under $10.00 including the drink.
Old Stone Fort restaurant is a long standing tradition in Manchester. It sits right across the street from the state park and offers all three meals of the day. The hamburgers come in single, double and the big Rayburn Burger that is enough to feed even the hungriest burger expert. Half pound burger plates with fries and drink are less than $10.00. Old Stone Fort Restaurant also serves beer.
Freddie's Oyster Bar might seem like a crazy place to get a great burger but don't let the name fool you. They have great handmade burgers with all the toppings. They have a jalapeƱo cheeseburger for those with a taste for something spicy and a chili cheese burger that comes in a great second for most spicy burger in town. They also serve beer in pitchers and singles. They are a sports bar so be prepared to watch the game or catch a race while your there. Great burger plates and a beer can be ordered for around $10.00.

Post a CommentMy first stop would be Jiffy Burgers. Any place that has been around for 30 years has to be good!
