-Marmalade Café-
6333 W 3rd St
Los Angeles, CA 90036
Phone: (323) 954-0088
The Marmalade Café offers delicious, nutritious soup. Prices here can seem a bit outlandish, but that's generally to be expected is Los Angeles restaurants. The soups that are offered at the Marmalade Café vary from day to day, but they all have one thing in common: they're delicious. In terms of quality ingredients, as well, this place is a definite standout from the crowd.
-Literati Café-
12081 Wilshire Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90025-1201
Phone: (310) 231-7484
The Literati Café definitely lives up to its name. It is one of the premier places in Los Angeles to sip a beverage and read, study, or enjoy the Wi-Fi connectivity. It's also a spectacular place to order soup. The soup offerings tend to be quite a bit towards the healthier side, but no sacrifice of flavor is evident at all. In fact, the entire menu does tend to offer health-conscious options. The Literati Café is a perfect place for vegetarian dining, and does usually offer at least one vegetarian soup option. -Doughboys Bakery-
8136 W Third St
Los Angeles, CA 90048-4309
Phone: (323) 651-4202
Doughboys Bakery is a cool, simple, reasonably-priced Los Angeles eatery. They offer basic, high-quality, sensational soup in a low-key, relaxed atmosphere. This place also offers some of the best hot-wings you're likely to find in California. Unlike some of the previous establishments, Doughboys Bakery does not have even a semblance of the health-conscious attitude prevalent in Los Angeles. This can actually be rather refreshing, though, for those who are in search of a more down-home, comfort-food style of cuisine. -Rambutan Thai-
2835 W Sunset Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90026
Phone: (213) 273-8424
Thai food is one of the fastest growing segments of the food industry in America today. Its unique use of spices and different culinary techniques make it a tasty, noteworthy style of cuisine. And, in the city of Los Angeles, you won't find any better Thai food than that served at Rambutan Thai. Everything, including their soup, is remarkable. The atmosphere is also very interesting. Watch out, though. This place is extremely popular and can get insanely busy around peak hours. Therefore, it's wise to try to beat the crowds by avoiding those time periods. -Fat Face Fenner's Fishack-
53 Pier Ave
Hermosa Beach, CA 90254-3782
Phone: (310) 379-5550
The cliché word-play in this restaurant's name aside, Fat Face Fenner's Fishack is one of the best places in Los Angeles to order seafood. And, as the name implies, there's plenty of seafood to order. When it comes to seafood-based soup, as well, Fat Face Fenner's Fishack never disappoints. They offer chowders that are so good, you'd swear that you were a continent away, in Boston. Indeed, all of their soup offerings are so good that you'd be hard-pressed to find a better version anywhere in the world, let alone somewhere else in Los Angeles. Once again, however, be leery of peak hours. This place can get really crowded, and noisy, around popular times.
