Where to Find Cheap, Stylish Cowboy Boots
Thrift and Consignment Stores
When looking to find inexpensive cowboy boots, start with your local thrift and consignment stores. Grab your copy of the Yellow Pages or Google search your local area and then plot a map of every secondhand store in your town. You'd be surprised how many people donate quality cowboy boots. With enough diligence, you may find authentic, stylish boots for a fraction of the price. Expected price range is $15 to $50.
If you have yet to visit Smartbargains.com, you are in for quite a treat. The bargain shopping site has everything from 1200TC sheets to designer suits to the latest swimwear at less than half of the MSRP. Along with top names like Cole Haan and Juicy Couture, Smartbargains.com also stocks thousands of women's shoes, including inexpensive cowboy boots or a convincing substitute. Expected price range is $40 to $160.
The Flea Market
If your town has a flea market, you may well be in luck. Depending on the level of enthusiasm for cowboy boots in your town, you may find 2 or 3 booths selling pretty convincing, cheap knock-offs. Expected price range is $30 to $50, depending on your haggling abilities.
Specializing in deeply discounted outdoor clothing and accessories, Sierratradingpost.com is a particularly good option if you are looking for authentic, yet inexpensive boots. Expected price range is $90 to $150.
Sheplers.com is another excellent resource offering more than a dozen cheap, authentic cowboy boots. Expected price range is $40 to $700.
6pm.com carries tens of thousands of name brand shoes, including dozens of cowboy boots at as much as 75 percent off of the MSRP. Find boots by Old Gringo, Lucchese and Jessica Simpson. Expected price range is $50 to $550.
When shopping online, be sure to do a search for any coupon codes that can be used to further reduce the price of your boots. Retailmenot.com is a great resource. As well, don't overlook Wal-Mart, Charlotte Russo and other clothing stores within the mall that may carry inexpensive, knock-off boots.

Uh oh. Shouldn't that be "cow boy/girl" boots? Don't want to offend anyone. lol!
Good tips.
I used Sheplers for my 7year old's boots. They were reasonable. I would love to find his size in thrift stores but I have never had any luck.
Thanks, Nik. good info for all of the cowboys in my life (and there's only one!), cheers :)
