Where to Find Christmas Trees near Rochester, New York

Many people venture out to get their Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, and some wait until a week to two weeks before Christmas. Whether you are looking to cut your own or to buy one pre-cut, the list below will help you in your search for that ever-elusive perfect Christmas tree.

There are many places in and around the Rochester, New York area for you and your family to look for a Christmas tree. The searching for the tree is a magic time for families and part of the Christmas tradition.

Aman's Nursery in Macedon, NY is located on Alderman Road and has been in existence since 1962. All of these trees are "cut your own" and are all one price. They offer many varieties of fir trees including Douglas, Balsam, Fraser, Concolor, as well as White and Austrian Pines and Blue, White and Norway Spruces. If your home demands one, you can find a Christmas tree here up to 12 feet high. Baling is offered at no charge and the nursery extends its business into cones, boughs, wreaths, and potted trees.

Franke's Nursery in Marion, NY is located on Eddy Ridge Road and they also offer the most favored of varieties, the Douglas Fir as well as Concolor and Balsam Firs, White Pines and Colorado Blue Spruce. Wagon rides are also available on the grounds during the early afternoon. Tree baling is available and they also have "upright in seconds" tree stands available for purchase.

Victor Christmas Tree Farm in Victor, NY is located on Murray Rd. Most of the Christmas trees offered here are cut already and are offered in the barn. However, there are some trees that range in height from 4 to 8 feet on the grounds that you can cut down with your own saw, or a borrowed one from the farm. They offer free yule stand drilling - the yule stand is a stand that has a large spike in the center. Once the drilling is complete, you place the tree on the spike and its guaranteed to stand up straight.

Urtz's Evergreens, Inc. in Palmyra, NY is located on Walker Rd. Owned and operated by William Urtz, this farm has been in existence for nearly 25 years. They offer pre-cut, potted and ready to be cut Christmas trees. The farm maintains over 150,000 native conifers, exotic and ornamental trees.

Windy Meadow Tree Farm in Brockport, NY is a short drive from the city of Rochester, but is more than just a farm it is a Christmas experience. They offer trees in many of the Pine, Spruce and Fir varieties, with saws, kneeling pads and carts available when requested. Bailing and shaking (to remove dead pine needles) is also available at no extra charge. A heated gift shop offering local crafts, wreaths and ornaments is a great place to wander while sipping free warm cider or hot chocolate. Even the cookies are free!

Wilbert's Christmas Tree Farms in Webster, NY is located on Salt Rd. They offer cut-your-own trees as well as pre-cut select and pre-cut premium (different pricing for each). The farm is over 100 acres in size and has a huge selection of over 180,000 trees. Restrooms, trails and off-road parking add a little extra convenience, as well as free bailing, shaking and trimming. Wilbert's also has a life-size Nativity scene that includes live animals. To help the customer determine the right size tree for the room, they provide a ten-foot high candy cane as a measuring stick.

Searching for and finding the perfect Christmas tree has never been easier with the huge number of farms in the Rochester, New York area.
