Where to Find Christmas Trees on Oahu, Hawaii

Hurry They Won't Last!

islandermom
If you are new to Oahu, Hawaii you will learn quickly about the Christmas tree shortage. Christmas trees are mainly imported to Hawaii from the mainland. You will find Christmas tree sales at retail stores at the end of November at limited vendor locations. These trees sell quickly at a high price. Once these trees are bought, there are no new shipments in mid-late December. Not only that, but these trees dry out quickly at the lot. It's a must to buy these Christmas trees early if you want a lasting fresh cut Christmas tree. There is one other option of a fresh cut tree of your choice at Oahu's only Christmas tree farm.

In addition to the limited Christmas tree selection on Oahu Hawaii, The Honolulu Advertiser has reported that the Hawaii Department of Agriculture seized 1,200 trees due to the refrigerated containers being infested with yellow-jacket-wasps. This is going to further limit Christmas tree sales to the public.

These retail stores usually have Christmas tree vendors. I recommend calling the location in advance to check if they are selling Christmas trees at that location.

My only other advice is to make sure you have a tree stand. If you don't have one, you will need to buy one soon. This item gets sold out quickly as well. Good luck and happy tree hunting!
