Where to Find Coupons on Groceries

Coupons to Save Money on Food and More

J. Motes
With many families struggling financially many are searching for where to find groceries on coupons. The idea of clipping coupons might seem old fashioned to many people, but there are savings to be had for those willing to invest a little of their time to save money. Here are a few of the many sources of grocery coupons:

The Sunday Paper

The Sunday paper is still a good place to find coupons on groceries and other items. The Sunday paper is a great investment for the frugally minded shopper as both coupons as well as sales circulars for the week can all be gathered at once. A frugal shopper can use both the grocery store circulars and grocery coupons to plan budget friendly meals for the week.

Coupon Websites

There are various websites dedicated to coupons for groceries and other items but they are not as useful as they once were. Many sites require membership (which might result in more junk email and other solicitations) and some even charge fees. Some grocery stores will not even accept computer printed coupons due to problems with fraud. If you want to use these sites, set up an email account just for this purpose to use when registering for membership.

Manufacturer's Websites

Don't overlook the manufacturer's websites for coupons. Companies routinely provide free coupons for new items that they are introducing as well as products that have been on the market for years. Browse your favorite company's website and see if they offer coupons on the products that you use.

Retailer's Websites

Most grocery stores will offer coupons on their websites. Visit the website of grocery store chains in your area and see what you can find. Pharmacies and other stores that sell groceries might be worth checking out as well though their prices are generally higher than grocery stores.

Once you have found your grocery coupons use them wisely. If possible in your area, find grocery stores that will double the value of your coupons or provide other similar deals. Perhaps, most importantly, create a way to store and organize your coupons to find them when it is time to check out at the store.

Though clipping coupons is an old fashioned way to save money, it is still a good one!
