Whether you're trading foreign currency or traveling to a foreign country, it helps to know where to find currency exchange rates on the Internet. Since much of traveling and investing is already scheduled online, it helps to have everything in one place, especially since currency values can change in the blink of an eye. If you're looking for currency exchange rates on the Internet, try these helpful sites.

(1) GoCurrency.com

This is one of the most popular currency exchange websites on the Internet, largely because it is so easy to use. Not only do they provide a convenient Currency Converter calculator, but they also have a money conversion service. You can find information on currency trading, international investments and articles about the finer points of importing and exporting. The only downside to this website is the confluence of ads that pop up at every turn, but for the most part they are strategically placed so as not to interfere with your browsing experience.

(2) X-Rates.com

This website has fewer ads than GoCurrency, but approaches currency exchange rates from a different perspective. Here, you have the standard currency calculator, which allows you to choose from twenty-four different types of currency, as well as providing a graphical explanation of each type of currency conversion. They also provide photographs of different types of currency and historic changes in currency exchange rates.

(3) OANDA.com

This website provides more resources than the other two combined, though it isn't as aesthetically appealing. With currency calculators that allow you to find currency exchange rates for 164 different types of currency, it is a more practical solution for those who are deeply involved in international trade. OANDA allows you to set up your own account to track different types of currency, and they also have articles, news, updates, press releases and other resources of interest.

(4) RatesFX.com

For a simpler, less advertisement-driven currency exchange websites, check out this one. RatesFX provides the information you need in a no-frills, easy-to-navigate website. In addition to a daily foreign exchange rate calculator, they also have currency exchange summaries, a listing of currency symbols, one- and three-month exchange rate predictions and pertinent terminology definitions. If you are interested in receiving constant updates, you can join the RatesFX mailing list and receive up-to-the-minute information about current foreign exchange rates for dozens of different countries.

(5) Bloomberg.com

This website is convenient for people who need to search for currency exchange rates by region and who also enjoy reading up on the latest news concerning international finance. Although the website looks slightly cluttered, it is filled with information about investment tools, market data, bonds, commodity futures and equity indexes.
