Barnes & Noble's nook
The wi-fi only version retails for $149 and will be on sale as a door buster at Best Buy on Black Friday for just $99.99, making it a huge steal at that price. Be prepared for a long line and get there early if the nook is on your list since there may be only 10 per store (minimum). The 3G version of nook retails for $249.
Sharper Image's Literati
A Literati can be found at three prominent stores on sale and with a rebate to make it even more affordable. This color eReader is tied to Kobo for its ebooks, though you can also download other titles for free. Macy's has a Literati listed in their ad for $149.99, or $129.99 after a $20 mail-in-rebate. Best Buy is also selling the Literati, but priced at $119 after $30 savings. The best deal on the Literati can be found at Kohl's. You'll need to go early since it is a door buster sale for $139.99 with a $30.00 mail-in-rebate, bringing the cost of the eReader under $100.
Aluratek's Libre
If you are looking for a cheap ebook reader without the bells and whistles of the more popular models, then this is a deal for you. Sears has the Aluratek Libre Pro (Black) on sale on Black Friday for $89.99, or $30 off. For ebooks, you must download Adobe's Digital Editions before downloading titles from Borders.com. This compact eReader is fairly small and may appeal to those not wanting the more expensive and bulky eReaders available.
Sony Pocket Reader
If you are willing to brave the throngs at Wal-Mart, you can pick up a Sony Pocket Reader for $99, Friday only from 5:00 AM - 11:00 AM. The Sony Pocket Reader will hold up to 350 titles and will hold a charge for two weeks.
What's missing? A Black Friday sale on Kindle. As of this writing, Amazon isn't planning to drop its price on its Kindle offerings, but you honestly never know. Do look to Amazon to price match some Black Friday ad prices though, as bfads.net reports. Still, if you are looking to pick up an eReader for around $100, there are several opportunities to save.
