The best part about Thanksgiving is that, no matter how busy you may be or how many guests are coming to dinner, everything always turns out perfect. Your table looks like a Norman Rockwell painting and you have nary a hair out of place.

Does this sound like you? If so, please send me your address, because I am coming to your place. Fortunately, there is help available for the rest of us. In fact, there are myriad websites and toll-free phone numbers to which you can turn on turkey day. Here is a roundup of some free Thanksgiving Day cooking help for those last minute food emergencies.

The Splendid Table

American Public Media's The Splendid Table, offers a Thanksgiving Day "Turkey Triage." Call in to this radio show from 11am to 1pm ET for free Thanksgiving Day cooking help from food expert Lynne Rossetto Kasper. Martha Stewart

The USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline

This hotline will be available from 8am to 2pm ET on Thanksgiving Day. Call the Hotline at 1.888.MPHotline or 1.888.674.6854 for food safety information or advice on foodborne illness. You can also send an email to MPHotline.fsis@usda.gov.

YouTube Holiday Solutions

Perhaps your issue is not so much an emergency but more of an uncertainty. Whether it is your first time carving the bird or you need one more side dish idea, the Holiday Solutions channel offers free Thanksgiving Day cooking help via step-by-step videos.

Foster Farms

Get turkey tips online at the Foster Farms website, or call the holiday assistance hotline at 800.255.7227. Agents are available 24 hours a day between November 18 and November 30 for free Thanksgiving Day cooking help. They are there from 8am to 5pm PST the remainder of the holiday season.
