Where to Find Free Winnie the Pooh Coloring Pages and Printables for Kids
Winnie the Pooh Character Print-Out Coloring Pages: Christopher Robin, Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet, Roo, Kanga, Owl, Gopher, Heffalump, Woozle, Kessie, Lumpy, Porcupine, Buster, Darby and Turtle Pictures
We buy Winnie the Pooh Coloring Books that have coloring pages, activities and games in them. However, I have found that they are lacking some of my daughter's favorite characters. She constantly wants to know where pictures of Eeyore, Owl and Roo are. Roo is one of her favorites because he jumps and Owl sings a song on "Disney's Learning Adventures - Winnie the Pooh - 123's".
Search the Web for Coloring Pages
Due to the difficulty I had finding coloring books with her favorite Winnie-the-Pooh characters, I began printing out my own by searching the web for "Winnie-the-Pooh" Coloring Pages. You can do a Images web search to find coloring pages that match your child's specific needs and wants. Then print them out! My daughter thinks the process is like magic and it is great to see the smiles and hear her laughs every time a coloring page prints out.
Save Money and Ink
To save money on ink, there are a couple things you can do. First, be sure to print in black and white. This will be under "Options" or "Advanced" in your print settings. Second, do an e-bay search for a print refill kit. Type in the name of your printer and "printer ink refill kit" at http://www.ebay.com and you will receive results specific to your needs. You will be able to refill your cartridge 3-5 times for under $15 for a refill kit. Check it out, your children and the environment will be glad you did.
Binding Your Coloring Book
In order to bind the pages you print out into a coloring book, you have several options. First, you can simply print out loose pages as your child requests them. This is my favorite method. Another option is you can use a report cover to bind the pages together. The nice thing about this is you can reuse the report cover after your child colors on the pages. Simply slip out the already colored pages and replace them with new pages. Report covers are easy and inexpensive to buy at Wal-Mart. Binding your coloring book with a report cover is a great method for a coloring book to use at church. The night before you go to church, you can simply remove the already colored on pages and update your coloring book with surprise coloring pages for your child the next day. What a great way to entertain your child. You can have a new and fresh coloring book every Sunday with cartoon characters your child loves!
Creating Coloring Books for Birthday Parties
A coloring book is a great birthday party favor. If you want to create a coloring book for a birthday party, you can customize the book by adding a cover page and a title. Create the cover page in Microsoft Word, using the image file and the name of your child. You can title the book, "(Your Child's Name)'s Coloring Book" and add an image to color on the front. You could even add a colored print out for the cover or a photo. Then, take the book to Kinko's and have it professionally bound. This is a great party favor for a birthday party with a theme.
Copyright Policies
When you print out coloring pages on-line, most of the pages available are free to print out. However, some people have illegally copied coloring books and posted them on-line. Be sure to look into copyright policies before creating your own book to distribute or printing out coloring pages on-line. Enlarging Image for Better Coloring Page Size
In order to get a better coloring page, you can use right-click with your mouse button, and select "save as". Determine the location you want to save the file and hit "Ok". After you have successfully saved your image, open up your paint program. First, go to "File" at the top of the page. Then, scroll down to "Page Setup" and select either portrait or landscape, depending on what will suite your picture better. Now, go to "Image" and select "Attributes". This will bring up a box. Be sure to select the "Inches" combo box. You will now want to specify a width of 8.5 and a height of 11 inches. Hit the "Ok" button. Now, select "File" at the top of the page, and select "Open". Navigate to the file you want and click the "Ok" button. You will now open the file you want. Once you have opened the file you want, you will be able to resize the photo to fit the page. Simply click on the file. Little squares will appear on the corners of the file. You can now click on one of the squares and drag the file to the size you want. When you are happy with how the image looks, you can print your file. To print, go to "File", and "Print". Here is where you can select the ink options as described above. When you are happy with the way the image will print out, hit the print button. If the image that prints out isn't exactly the way you want it to look, simply repeat the above steps (or open up the paint file if you saved it), and revise the way it looks. Then, print again. Once you master the technique, you will be able to print out beautiful coloring pages every time!
