Hannah Montana is the wildly popular Disney series that stars Miley Cyrus as a young girl leading a double life. By day she's an average high school student, just trying to fit in and by night, she's a famous pop singer with her trademark pink hair.

When Hilary Duff opted out of renewing her contract for Lizzie Maguire, Disney viewers were unsure of what to expect next. Little did they (or Disney) know the kind of success that Hannah Montana would meet.

Hannah Montana now has over 5 million viewers and not only that, but the show has gone on to release various Hannah Montana soundtracks, a sold-out concert and Hannah Montana merchandise. Most recently the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert movie broke records by earning $29 million in its first weekend. The film was released to appease the many fans who were unable to score tickets to the sold-out concert.

It's really no wonder why Hannah Montana is so popular. The show stars Miley Cyrus and her famous father, Billy Ray Cyrus and the premise of the show is every young girls fantasy - to live the life of a famous pop star.

Not only that, but the show is famous for its guest stars too. Corbin Bleu and Ashley Tisdale of High School Musical fame have both made appearances as well as Selena Gomez, star of Wizards of Waverly Place. Paul Vogt, Brooke Shields, Larry David, Dolly Parton, Vicki Lawrence, The Rock, Heather Locklear, Jesse McCartney and Joey Fatone have all made guest appearances too. Even the infamous Jonas Brothers (Miley Cyrus has been romantically linked to one of them) have also appeared on Hannah Montana as themselves.

No doubt, Hannah Montana will go down in history as one of the Disney's most popular series and as the catalyst for its breakaway star - Miley Cyrus.
