The Henry B. Plant Museum in Tampa will hold its annual Victorian Christmas Stroll, December 1-31. This year will mark the 26th year the event will be held. The museum will be decorated in Victorian style, while the gift shop will offer ornaments, gifts, reproductions, and other holiday accessories. Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for children under age 12 to the event located at 401 W. Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa. The Pinellas Pioneer Settlement will hold its annual Christmas Jamboree on December 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the event is free, and more information can be found at www.stpete.org. The Pinellas Pioneer Settlement is located at 2900 31st Street South, St. Petersburg. The event will feature old fashioned holiday festivities and displays, and visitors can purchase holiday decorations and gifts from artists and craft vendors.
Artspace Gallery will hold its 20th anniversary Deck the Halls sale on November 9 - 10 and December 8 from 5:30 - 9 p.m. The sale benefits Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. The sale will feature artist-made holiday decorations, all sold for $5 each. More information can be found at artspaceartists.com.
The Arts Center will hold its annual Holiday Invitation Exhibition from November 30 - December 31 at 719 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg. The event will feature holiday decorations created by local artists and will include glass, paintings, sculpture, and ceramics. Cards and ornaments will be available in the gift shop. For those celebrating Hanukkah, the Sisterhood Judiaca Gift shop at the Schaarai Zedek Congregation located at 3303 W. Swann Avenue, Tampa is featuring a Hanukkah gift sale from November 18 - December 5. Hanukkah gifts and decorations in varying price ranges will be available.
For those looking for holiday decorations in the Tampa Bay area, these events will provide a great selection of unique items, many of which will benefit non-profit organizations and charities. Of course, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, K-Mart, and other retail stores will still have their usual selection of items as well. But, for those looking for something different this season, visit one or more of the annual events sponsored by the organizations above.
