One kid friendly hotel around Adirondack Park is found in Glens Falls. It is the kid friendly stand-by of Howard Johnson's. Kids like the pool, the restaurant with the ice cream that is available even late at night, and the kid friendly menu. This Howard Johnson's participates in the stay two nights save 15% promotion which is nice savings for a resort area like Adirondack Park. Rates are $160 year round. They also have free high speed internet .
A second hotel in the Adirondack Park area is the Hampton Inn & Suites in Lake George. They have a restaurant on site and a suite can accommodate a family of six. There is a kid friendly breakfast menu including things like French toast sticks. Kids will also like that they leave out a little tray of cookies by the fireplace in the lobby each night. Visit HamptonInn.com or Hilton.com for more details and to make reservations. This hotel can run up to $225 in season, but the suites can accommodate several people.
A nice cheap but clean hotel in the Adirondack Park area is Econo Lodge in Glens Falls. They are very close to Lake George but also near the outlets. Rooms are about $70 a night and have microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms for snacks. They allow pets to stay. If your family is focused on the activities of the day and not the hotel this might be a good hotel at a cheap price. Find more information about this hotel at their website.
Of course, Holiday Inn of Lake George Turf is the classic kid friendly hotel because kids eat free at the breakfast buffet and there is an indoor pool AND an outdoor pool. When I was a kid, I would think dual pools was a big deal. According to their website, this hotel has been newly renovated so it is very modern and clean. If you have several children, consider staying in one of the suites that can accommodate three or more kids. Some perks of these suites is that you get a living room with a mini-fridge, microwave, and a sink and counter and a pullout couch. The suites are on a high floor, so you get a wonderful for of the general Adirondack Park area including the Lake. Rates for the season are around $209.
