Where to Find Mini Greenhouses

Stephanie Manning
Mini greenhouses are great for gardeners on a budget or those with little space. They can be found both online and local retailers. Since mini greenhouse are small and take up little space, they have become very popular for those who rent there home, have limited yard space, or only have a balcony. Mini greenhouses are small but come any many sizes and can be fit into nearly any gardeners' budget. Below you will find several places that have many greenhouses for sale.

Lowes

Lowes is one of my favorite stores just because of its gardening section. Lowes carries a couple different mini greenhouses ranging from $25-100. They have mini greenhouses that are stands as well as those that actually cover in-ground plants. The in-ground mini greenhouses are great for covering tender plants, trees, shrubs, roses and any other plant that may need a little extra protection from the cold.

Home Depot

Another great source for mini greenhouses is Home Depot. Home Depot carries many of the same greenhouses as Lowes, both stands and in-ground. I personally prefer Lowes are their prices are usually much cheaper.

Local Garden Centers

Your local garden center will most likely carry a few mini greenhouses as well. If you don't see any on the shelf ask an associate. Many garden centers don't always display or carry their larger items but can order them upon request.

eBay

When all else fails, check eBay. eBay has a ton of greenhouse ranging from a 2x2 up to commercial sizes. They have small indoor greenhouses, outdoor greenhouse, greenhouse stands, in-ground greenhouses, and even greenhouse kits that could leave your with a better deal for your budget. Get online and check eBay and compare prices with some of your favorites.

Another option for a mini greenhouse is to build your own. You can find several plans online for greenhouses of all sizes. Mini-greenhouse can be build for under $20 depending on the size and shape you are wanting. PVC and visqueen (poly-sheeting) is very cheap and can be constructed with in a few hours.

No matter where you look first, don't feel limited as to what your choices are when it comes to many greenhouses there are several choices. I would suggest going to Google and searching mini greenhouses. Click on the images and get an idea of what all is available. Once you have chosen a few designs then begin looking from there using your favorites. Who knows, you may find one you like and realize that you can build the same greenhouse a lot cheaper or find it at another location cheaper.
