Whether you want to swim laps without being disturbed by other swimmers, or you want to train your body for swim competitions, knowing where to find an Olympic pool is important. Olympic pools have designated lap areas where others cannot invade your lane. The longer the lap the more exercise you get and the more laps you can accomplish. If you're just looking to time yourself doing laps, at least in an Olympic pool you don't have to concern yourself with being distracted by other swimmers. So let us get some insight on where to find these Olympic pools to get you going.

Sulpher Springs Community pool in Tampa, Florida offers a 4-lane Olympic stile lap in the pool area. The lap area is for mostly adults, even though kids do try to sneak in. There are lifeguards on duty and admission to this pool is free. This Olympic style pool is not in the grandest of areas, but you can freely swim your lap's everyday as much as you want.

Beachside Venice Villas offers one-bedroom villas to stay at while you decide to do some training while on vacation in their Olympic style pool. Going on vacation may not be a desired choice if you are training, but at least you can visit their villas and maybe make it a home for a while.

Venice Condominium Villas are mostly vacation homes, but again they also have an Olympic style pool. This Olympic style pool is close to the beach so you can take your training to the waves, to build up some additional strength if needed.

Aloha Beachfront, is located on Siesta Key on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. They offer a heated Olympic size pool for the cooler months in Florida. They have one and two bedroom villas to accommodate you during your trip.

If you are serious about joining a swim team and want to experience all the cities that are joined together for supporting swimmers that want to get into the Olympics than Swim Florida is a sight to see. They have sent 8 swimmers from Florida to the 2008 Olympics and are currently preparing more for 2012 Olympics. They offer a list of coaches, where pool locations are and how to join up on the swim team. Make your dream come true and get into a team spirit, all levels of swimming are welcome.

Another outlet for finding Olympic size pools or swim team would be any YMCA in your area or in Florida. Check out the YMCA's in your area to see what programs they offer in aquatics and ask if they have an Olympic size pool or lap pool for you to train at.

If you want to make a dream become possible for yourself or another by being on a swim team you can find a place to join and train in an Olympic pool in Florida. If exercise is what you're looking for then you will be sure to find the outlets to get some exercise by swimming in any of these Olympic size pools in Florida.
