Here are three websites that will direct you to the music that influences the show.
This site is the best that I have found. They offer a very detailed list of each song that is played on each episode of each season! You can choose "Music by Episode" which currently lists the four seasons. After you click on your proffered season you will find a list of each episode with a picture as well as a small summary of what happened on that episode. Once you click on the episode you are looking for, a list of every song played during that episode will be listed along with a picture of the album the song is found on and a website where you can purchase the song. This site is also nice because for each song it describes the scene in which the song was played.
You can also find information on which bands played in which episodes by clicking on "A-Z List."
The site is also great at keeping up-to-date information on popular artists on the show as well as each artist's websites along with videos and even lyrics for select songs.
Under "Cool Stuff" located on the tabs near the top of the screen you can find "Character Mixes." This is wear you can find a collective mix of songs for your favorite character. The site notes that the songs were picked with help of the interview with One Tree Hill's music supervisor, Lindsay Wolfington. More listings will be available soon as well as printable labels.
This part of the site lists the titles of each episode and which band sings the title. As I mentioned before, each episode is titled after a song by a popular band.
This website offers featured music that has played on the shows. As of today, the number one featured CD is the third season mix, The Road Mix by Various Artists.
You are able to listen to select tracks from select albums on this website as well as buy the albums by just a few simple clicks of the mouse.
This site also offers a message board where you can meet other One Tree Hill fans and discuss your favorite music, favorite characters, and favorite episodes.
This is one friend you should definitely request on MySpace. This site gives you the option to listen to a few songs from the show. They also offer quite a few contest offers in the "Blog Entry" section. It is very simple to enter all of these contests, so you might as well try since you have nothing to lose!
The site also offers videos of top performers like Tyler Hilton. You will also find each members' own website if you scroll down to the "Friends" section. Not only will you find each cast member, but the OTH writers have their own MySpace page that offers plenty of videos and maybe even some information on the upcoming season five.
