Thanksgiving is fast approaching and so is the need for some good holiday food- but you're swamped - with work, the kids, relatives just in from out of state. If you're living in the Foxboro, MA are, where can you find prepared Thanksgiving or Holiday food without sending out a pilgrim search party? Here are some places that can help you set a fabulous Thanksgiving table without going nuts yourself making all the food.

Stop & Shop Foxboro (Main St Foxboro); If you're going to hit the Stop & Shop to pick up some menu items, why not actually pick up some items already prepared? S & S offers whole Turkey dinners for about $70. The dinners include a 10-14 pound bird and side dishes from Boston Market including stuffing, cranberry jelly, mashed potatoes and butternut squash. You also get dinner roles, gravy, and two pies (Apple or Pumpkin.)

The Big Apple (207 Arnold St , Wrentham, MA)
Tel. 508-384-3055. One of the biggest draws at any Thanksgiving dinner is definitely the desert. Homemade pies are all the rage this time of year. But maybe you don't have time to bake them yourself. For great prepared pies in a variety of flavors, many Foxboro residents use The Big Apple just one town over in Wrentham. Flavors include Apple, of course, as well as the three P's: Peach, Pecan, and Pumpkin, plus other fruit flavors and apple crisp. Pies cost $9.95. I can vouch for their deliciosity.

Ward's Berry Farm (614 Main St, Sharon, just over the Foxboro Line). Ward's Berry Farm is a great place for autumn fun - hayrides, berry picking, pumpkins for sale. But don't underestimate it as a place to pick up pies and other great homemade deserts prepared for your, for Thanksgiving. You can also check out a lot of exotic and often organic condiments at Ward's and don't forget the farm fresh veggies like squash or beans- though you'll have to prepare those yourself.

Honey Baked Ham (Norwood 950 Providence Hwy. 781-551-8400). All right, so ham isn't turkey. But don't underestimate the prepared Thanksgiving food you can buy at HBH. They do in fact sell Honey Baked Turkeys. You can get a fully roasted whole turkey, roasted turkey breasts, or turkey with a cheese wheel, which, who wouldn't want that. Also note the desert items include gourmet cheesecakes in a variety of flavors like Black Forest, Cherry and Amaretto. There's a combo platter for those who want a slice of each. Of course, there's also a lot of ham to choose from - thus the name of the store. If you want to add to your Thanksgiving main course or maybe have something ready to compliment the day-after leftovers, ham may do the trick.

Thanksgiving can be a great time to gather with family and friends, but that time is often overly occupied with preparing food for the masses. Make it easier on yourself this year and buy a fresh prepared pie, side dish, or maybe even the whole turkey from a local store.
