Neighborhood: City
Asheville, NC 28801
If you're in Asheville, North Carolina on Thanksgiving Day this year you have a few choices on where you could eat. Asheville is very big on healthy food and has quite a few businesses that cater to vegetarians, vegans, and others who just want to cut the junk food out of their lives. There are also a lot of businesses that cater to customers who like to buy organic. Never fear though, there are places that serve a more traditional Thanksgiving dinner too.

Tomato Jam Café
This tasty eatery is located at 379 Biltmore Avenue, and they are taking orders for Thanksgiving dinner that you pick up and take home with you. Their phone number is 828.253.0570. The deadline for placing an order is 3pm on Friday, November 17, 2006. Their food is organic, healthy and really good, not only in taste, but for you as well.

You can pick your dinner up the day before Thanksgiving between 3pm and 5pm or you can make other arrangements with them. The food will come in recycled or reusable containers complete with re-heating instructions.

Earth Fare
Another business that caters to those mindful of their health is Earth Fare. There are two of them in Asheville. One is located at 1856 Hendersonville Road and the other at 66 Westgate Parkway. Their phone numbers are 828.210.0100 and 828.253.7656 respectively. They are an organic food store, but are offering a meal that can be picked up at the store. Their Thanksgiving meals include a vegetarian option. Also on the weekends before Thanksgiving they are giving out samples of their Thanksgiving meal. They normally take orders until the Sunday before Thanksgiving which would be on the 19th this year, but you will want to call and make sure that the deadline is not different.

Boston Market
Located at 1644 Hendersonville, Rd, their phone number is 828.274.8955. They are usually open on Thanksgiving Day from 8am to 2pm. You will probably want to call the store though and make sure that their hours are still the same. If you'd rather have Thanksgiving at your house, you can order in advance and pick up your meal from the store. There are three complete meals to choose from, and for those of you with smaller families, they have three other options with less food. We've ordered Thanksgiving Dinner from them in the past and it has been delicious. You usually have to place your order by the Monday before Thanksgiving, which is the 20th this year, but you will want to call and make sure that it hasn't changed.

The great thing about Boston Market is that they are super affordable. To add to this they are offering a ten percent discount on any order placed through their website or through their toll free phone number, 866-977-9090. The discount code you need to use is 10PRHOLIDAY.

So you'll see that you have plenty of options in Asheville to have Thanksgiving Day with your family without messing up your kitchen or stressing out. And if for some reason you miss the deadlines or it's too late in the day to eat at Boston Market, there's always the good ol' fallback of The Waffle House. They never close.
